CATASTROPHE HAS HAPPENED
YAKARI HEADQUARTERS HAVE BEEN FLOODED! From yesterday night until today evening there has been massive water intrusion into YAKARI headquarters. Estimately (? ( a lot!)) liters have found their way into lots of our equipment through walls, so is the presumption.
THIS IS NO JOKE.
Apparently nothing has been REALLY damaged, so that we could not use it anymore, but the flood has certainly left traces in one of the walls, which will have to be trashed and built from scratch, and in the carpets, which we will have to trash unless we'd like the smell of putrid carpets, and we think we don't like it, they stink.
...AND in our relationship to MR. ROTH, which is the caretaker for the building and stood his man by helping us finding the source of water and just consoled us friendly cause we we're desperate and I must say that some of us cried.
Now, somehow I just was at our rehearsal room the day before and maybe instinctively made some iPhone shots of our place... not knowing how things could change within one day when fucking water comes into play and pours in to make trouble. So here's some comarison shots of this misery. Go check it out.
Everything seemed ok yesterday!
The carpets and everything was alright!
BUT THEN
We had to move out everything into a separate room
cause we'll need to save equipment trash the carpets which are now fucked
No easy job to clear a flooded practice room!
Luckily enough there was MR:ROTH wo lend us some helping hand and investigated the case more profoundly
CAUSE, and now listen
MR|ROTH'S and our guess is we PROBABLY have some weed growing neighbors beneath and they maybe have some water issue with their rewatering system or whatever! MAYBE they were right then smoking pot when we've had to carry all our stuff out! Imagine!
Don't get us wrong, we're no weed haters.
BUT here's the thing that really matters.
We've been on the way finishing our next record and we had only some last things left until completion. Besides we need to practice for our upcoming gigs, most importantly in Basel in 2 weeks or so. Now, WTF. So:
We're looking for a new practice room. This has been on our mind for some time now. So if ANYONE knows some place or buddy or anything, who could help us find something new, we'd greatly appreciate... YAKARI HEADQUARTERS HAVE TO MOVE!

An old YAKARI story
(to shorten the time till real news is available again)
like you may already know, we've been experiencing alien visits (at our rehearsal room or elsewhere) for some time now. the last visit took place some time ago, it was some kind of weed-addicted, soldier type, guitar rock-alien. although he seemed friendly at first...
...we soon realized its dangerous and hostile intents. ronny experienced it phisycally, when that alien suddenly stood up and smashed its guitar right onto ronnys face.
but then ronny striked back. knowing that that particular type of weed-addicted, soldier type, guitar rock-alien is commonly afraid of faces between belly and legs, he used that knowledge to beat that bad buddy out of our solar system and even out of our galaxy. we never heard from it again. well done ronny!

Larger size at the largest
It's no secret that the full yakari bombers love food. We especially love the delicious smelly fast-food. So we packed our bags and went down the coast to a trippy food vacation. We ran to all the BK's, KFC's, Mc's, the Taco Bells, Dairy Queens, Crispy Kremes, Subways, Carls Jr's, In And Out Burgers, Chicken Lickens, Pizza Huts and White Castles. Boob booob.

Winterthurer Musikfestwochen
The Yaka's will be playing sharpely one week after this saturday in winterthur at the musicpartyweeks. after the yaah ka'ri, you can stay right there and watch ghinzu from belgium who will play "zugabe" for us and the yakari-afterparty will be created by dj 65daysofstatic(england). so come on over to this pyrotechnics-kind-of-an-evening.

YAKARI GOES MOVIE MANIA
Sorry for catching your attention with such a strong title, it's not that big. But we've been invited to play a gig at the upcoming WER.FT party organized by Schauspielhaus Zürich (Movieplayhouse Zurich haha). We'll be playing at around midnight.
Okay, so you'll surely be asking yourself now: "man, what's so cool with such a party?" Well, we can tell you: entrance only 5.- and beers only 3.- !!! Cool! PLUS: actors, actresses, directors, producers, all the good people who make the movies you see sometimes.
