YAKARI GOES MOVIE MANIA

Sorry for catching your attention with such a strong title, it's not that big. But we've been invited to play a gig at the upcoming WER.FT party organized by Schauspielhaus Zürich (Movieplayhouse Zurich haha). We'll be playing at around midnight.

NEWS AGAIN. Yesterday we found ourselves in a deep summer welcoming mood so we decided to make a fresh summer song called "BEACH, BEACH". And as Reto from RIVER SOUND STUDIO is going to release a "SUMMER TAPE" soon, featuring various cool musicians from all around Zurich, we will send in that song as our contribution. And we will make a videoclip for that song! So watch out!

we know that you don't know what to do this friday evening, so we arranged a concert so that you now know what to do. and if we say "HEEEEEEY!" you have to say "HOOOOO!". you don't even have to eat a priori, because if the sun is shining, there's a chance to buy a beautiful wurst at the icelandish hubertus lava-grill.

Diary nr. 4

It's done! The songs have all been recorded, overdubs and vocals have been done. Although we're going to redo some of the vocals we feel like we're already finished. BAD KARMA STUDIO is going to miss us, as well as we're going to miss that very holy location. It was great, a great experience, familiar athmosphere, good games (super mario bros I + II, mario kart 64, guitar hero (+ beatles version), pac man, golf). Thanks to the whole AIE CA GICLE gang, specially Luc White, who was our coach, host, producer and engineer all at once. Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!

OK. HERE WE GO.

Call it crazy or call it lazy, we're heading out to record our new release these days! As already said, we'll be doing this at BAD KARMA STUDIO in Basel. That is the brand new opened studio of our AIE CA GICLE buddies. We will record, hang out and play GUITAR HERO all day long, from tomorrow until sunday.

But first we will play some tunes in Lucerne at the prision of SEDEL. Today. In Lucerne. At the prision. That's right.

We will be running a tour diary. Be prepared!

WE HAVE NEWS 4 YOU

This goes to all of you Yakari people.

The last two concerts we gave have been FULL IMPACT. Thanks to all the people who've been involved, specially to Dug and Giamma from Lugano and Marco from Rorschach. You're so cool.

Now we're heavily rehearsing almost daily, because in a week we're moving to Basel for a week to record our... new thing at BAD KARMA studio of our friends from AIE CA GICLE. Working title for our new record is WE HATE THE COPS. But this may change.

For all you Zurich based freaks, we're playing at Hubertus (http://www.hubertus-temporary.ch) on the 21th of May. Come by if you dare!

not as you may think that we will enjoy the excellent reputation of ticino for the whole weekend - no, we will have a seat in our sportvan ferrari f-400 (team version) and take the A1 sport road straight to the hotspot rorschach where we will play in the place to be, called mariaberg. as you can see in the picture above, the crowd is always getting crazy when we show up. the crowd is always getting lazy when we show up. so evoke your inner craziness, spend your last money for a trainticket, come to rorschach and help us keeping this night as semi-crazy in mind. if it's crazy for you, it's also crazy for us, you know. and we would like to be crazy for especially YOU! and don't forget, it's the first of may, so we can destroy the furniture, vandalize the town and nobody cares!

benvenuto di lugano!

Tomorrow we'll hit the hard road straight through the rockiest of all rocky mountains in the universe called "gotthard". We will play in beaufiful lugano where the people are nice and the pizzas are fresh. Maybe we'll visit a grotto and taste home-made risotto. If you play in a band, but unfortunately you can't find a good bandname - here you go: Grottos n' Risottos. So that's all for today. Arrivederci tutto i amici in mondo!

...we have to announce that our planned tour will not take place as soon as mentioned. Some irregularities forced us to stay in poo poo Zurich. We will postpone that tour for sure - presumably in fall this year. We're all very disappointed and will unload our anger by destroying public goods.

THE RETURN OF STEVE TUDIKC

Our beloved tourmanager, friend and man for everything, STEVE TUDIKC, is back again. He is working hard on getting us back on the road to tour around with our friends from Hamburg, SABOTEUR. When everything goes well, we should be hitting asphalt again at the beginning of april, starting in Hamburg routing through Germany to finally settle in Zurich, where we'll be closing the tour in our home-club, the legendary BOSCH BAR.

ALSO there is our SPLIT record coming, which is a collaboration of SABOTEUR and us.

So keep your eyes sharp!

We're back!

Yeah, so that's it, we're all back from STRESS IN CALIFORNIA TOUR 2009. It was astonishing! In the same time marvellous, but also exhausting. You can imagine, that a tour like this can sometimes be enerving. You know, the time you have to spend on the road, hanging around for ages backstage, only waiting to go on stage, carrying all the stuff in and out at the locations (well, actually we have roadies)... but after all: Wow! Now we go get some rest.

Tour diary 3

Today we're in Zurich. To be exact, we're in Rote Fabrik, Clubraum. We're supporting San-Fran based SLEEPY SUN. They're fun! We had nice chit chat with all of them, especially with Rachel. Some topics we touched: Jokes about musicians, cats, porn, play station, things we do for fun, and so on. Thanks guys! The show was also great, very impressive vocal arrangements. We should've played a 30min set, but we just said 'what the fuck' and played a regular set of at least 45min. Then we trashed the backstage, leaving only chaos and mayhem behind, and went back to our drinks at the bar. No no.

Tour diary 2

In day two of our freakin' tour we hitted Winterthurs Gaswerk location. Great people, all very relaxed, the best mixer we had for ages... we had to play as first act, cause Jonas had a gig with Galopp (his solo project) at EXIL in Zurich. So he left earlier. We instead watched the DUARA show which was formidable! Great band, great guitars and a spine-breaking drummer. Thanks fellas!

Tour diary 1

Last night we played in Sursee with our good friends "Dans la tente". They gave a superb release-concert. After this great gig, we played a noisy set, not so well because 3 guitar-strings broke. No no. Hopefully they'll last for tonights show in Winterthur.

Yes folks thats right, we're going on tour, departing tomorrow 5 o'clock pm (middle european time) and heading right to Lucerne, where we'll kick off the tour by being guests at the DANS LA TENTE release party of their long awaited KNIGHTS record! We'll not be resting then, cause management sends us on saturday already to Winterthur where we'll hit the scene with DUARA, our record label friends and fellow chillers! Cool, huh? And still we're not finished: On sunday, after this heavy action weekend, we'll play at Rote Fabrik in hometown Zurich with some US band called SLEEPY SUN. Sounds alright, doesn't it? So come and be part of this century-unique event called STRESS IN CALIFORNIA TOUR 2009!
